Affordable Plumbing & Sewer LLC

My main drain had crushed some time back but it became completely unusable recently. I chose to invest in a portable backhoe and do the work myself but had hired Affordable to camera scope initially to find the libation of the failure in my front yard(which was spot on) than once I had dug up the bad line and cleared both ends I had Affordable come back out to camera scope again, to see if I could button up what I’d already done or if it made sense to go ahead and dig up the rest of the line. It’s 8’ deep, I’m not a professional so it takes me longer than a skilled crew,, but would do it if I needed to. After the scope the tech recommended that I have a hydro-jet cleaning done and I was fully onboard for that because the camera found quite a lot of debris as well as roots in the line. The tech even found a piece of tile from when the gutter tie in failed and he probably spent twenty minutes with his camera and hook finally pulling this lodged piece of clay tile out of the line, and had he not done that my line would e worked but it would’ve performed poorly and eventually fail again. I know that’s his job and he should just do it because it’s right,but not often do people go that extra step anymore and I think that because Affordable chooses the right people. For reference it’s the piece of black tile next to the XL glove. But after the hydro-jetting the line is completely clear. I may have to deal with it some time down the road but I believe it will be a longer a while because I removed the common failure points and the repair was solid. Affordable even found a break in the easements portion of the line and gave me the info I needed to have the city replace that portion with no cost to me. Which will then leave only about 30’ of main drain left,and since it currently has a good bill of health, I think I’m done playing in the mud with life sized Tonka toys (actual fun-with a healthy hint of fear/respect). I recommend everyone throw caution to the wind and tackle a project well beyond your scope with heavy machinery for which you’ve never operated. However if that’s out of your wheelhouse I really do recommend Affordable.

Colby always does a great job and ensures my stairs and floors stay clean by covering the area. He was able to resolve my issue and provided great honest recommendations. Please use this company before calling the big corporates who will waste your money. I will continue to use Affordable plumbing again and again with their great prices.

Had one of their plumbers out to check on a few findings from a home inspection (slow draining sinks, low water flow to a sink, etc). Everything he told me was inaccurate and basically him being too lazy to actually check. I was inexperienced enough to just believe what he said. Now its costing me a lot of time and money to fix serious issues I should have had the seller fix if this company didnt basically blow me off. Sharon at the office is sweet, but the other woman who answers the phones is extremely rude and doesnt know what shes talking about. Avoid this business.

I have used this company three times now and so far- I would definitely recommend it. I have been satisfied with the service provided. They are professional, courteous and respectful; especially Edwin outperforming his job, going above and beyond and giving you tips and advice regarding how to upkeep and/or improve your plumbing system.

Affordable Plumbing LLC has just left. They did very well and had the equipment to get all jobs done. The people were very nice. With a two three star rating you know something was out of whack. I wanted a plumbing line access repair. Very early in the morning their diagnostic man appeared in a new model car with the company name on the door. He immediately put a visual camera down the line and announced a plumbing stoppage. He followed that with a line detector and what looked like a fluoroscope and markings on the grass. This told me something was up. He gave me a quote to unplug the line and fix the drain line access T for $2550. I had a service call from another company and they wanted $200-300 without the fluoroscopy for the rooter job. Kansas City market. I told Affordable I would accept their bid because they came recommended by a friend. They emailed documents you had to approve and sign. For some reason I went ahead. 30 minutes after sending back the documents, a normal plumbing truck with two workers arrived. Great knowledgeable guys with tools to end WW III. I told them I did not want a backhoe but I would let them unstop the line. I agreed orally to $650. They did a bang-up job veery quickly. During their work they knocked off the tower I wanted fixed. (I had already personally dug down to the line where the T connected) I saw that all I needed was a couple of circumferential bands that I could do myself in 20 minutes. It became obvious, there was a policy to diagnose every possibility and make financial arrangement with inflated prices. The problem was when you agree to a price for a given service that was what you had to pay. Fortunately, I changed the service and only had to agree to an exorbitant drain line clean out. They called later an offered to fix the T for $1000. I fixed it for $22 but I had to push the dirt back in the hole. later now, this a good company with policy in place to contract for payment. The problem comes when it is not accurately diagnosed, like I had ceramic not metal drain lines diagnosed.

I have used Affordable Plumbing multiple times, and each time they do a great job! Today Jeff came out and went above and beyond helping with a water leak situation! Very very grateful for him and all his help!!
